Dont forget we have a MASSIVE gig coming up at the fleet ctr in fletton, peterborough saturday march 27th.As a lot of you know the replicas are to headline the peterborough scooter clubs (go to www.plvsc.co.uk)massive charity day on march the 27th. The whole day starts with an expected 300 plus scooterists delivering easter eggs to sick and underpriviledged kids around the city. At night the 2nd part of the event happens and we want to see you all there.we will be on a massive stage with a big pa so expect something different ! The night gig is at the fleet ctr ,doors open at 7. Its a fiver to get in and will also feature a HUGE raffle (huge cos of the prizes on offer) ! Proceeds on the night will be going to help 4 heroes, a very worthwile cause. So get down there , the bar prices are v.v. Good . We aim to blow the roof off the place and make it a night to remember, and its all for a great cause. The Replicas - Absolutely One Step Beyond....... A review blog by Demi Whitfield. The Replicas at The Elmtree Tavern - 20/02/09: A wonderfully rich, exciting and refreshing (as well as slightly bizzarre) blend of musical genres is jam packed into a unique mastermind set! From Madness and the Specials through to Dexys Midnight Runners, the Stranglers, the Clash, Oasis, Blur, the Beatles, and the Kings of Leon..... phew! The band seem to have alot of fun whilst playing having the audience in stitches, and the electric atmosphere was heightened with a mass surge onto the dance floor to most of the classic ska tracks, with some of the most wonderful live saxophone playing I have ever heard! For an energetic, lively, and fun night out with a wide musical appeal, these guys are most def the bees knees! It is one thing to try mixing musical genres, but it is another thing to pull it off with style! Sheer genius! If the Replicas were a dish on Masterchef they would be a chocolate melt pudding topped with cream; cool and creamy on top, but dig deeper and you find a rich, tasty, and tantalising deep multi-layer of chocolate sponge and a hot melted chocolate centre! We are at the fletton ex-servicmens club , fletton, peterborough. Tickets for NON members are £5 and you can only get them through my good self.
