Many thanks to all for the support at our most recent gig. Dont forget we have a MASSIVE gig coming up at the fleet ctr in fletton, peterborough saturday march 27th.As a lot of you know the replicas are to headline the peterborough scooter clubs (go to www.plvsc.co.uk)massive charity day on march the 27th. The whole day starts with an expected 300 plus scooterists delivering easter eggs to sick and underpriviledged kids around the city. At night the 2nd part of the event happens and we want to see you all there.we will be on a massive stage with a big pa so expect something different ! The night gig is at the fleet ctr ,doors open at 7. Its a fiver to get in and will also feature a HUGE raffle (huge cos of the prizes on offer) ! Proceeds on the night will be going to help 4 heroes, a very worthwile cause. So get down there , the bar prices are v.v. Good . I found this on our face book site , thought it was worth putting on here... The Replicas - Absolutely One Step Beyond....... A review blog by Demi Whitfield. The Replicas at The Elmtree Tavern - 20/02/09: A wonderfully rich, exciting and refreshing (as well as slightly bizzarre) blend of musical genres is jam packed into a unique mastermind set! From Madness and the Specials through to Dexys Midnight Runners, the Stranglers, the Clash, Oasis, Blur, the Beatles, and the Kings of Leon..... phew! The band seem to have alot of fun whilst playing having the audience in stitches, and the electric atmosphere was heightened with a mass surge onto the dance floor to most of the classic ska tracks, with some of the most wonderful live saxophone playing I have ever heard! For an energetic, lively, and fun night out with a wide musical appeal, these guys are most def the bees knees! It is one thing to try mixing musical genres, but it is another thing to pull it off with style! Sheer genius! If the Replicas were a dish on Masterchef they would be a chocolate melt pudding topped with cream; cool and creamy on top, but dig deeper and you find a rich, tasty, and tantalising deep multi-layer of chocolate sponge and a hot melted chocolate centre! I enjoyed my bite and they would win my trophy! These guys are really worth seeing and not just once either! Superb!

Tickets for NON members are £5 and you can only get them through my good self. Should you be a fletton member you have to apply for... your ticket directley via the club secretary Neil Thomas. To Mr Brave who i suspect i know !! The clubs gig on the 24th of jan is a night to attract "new" members , err adults ! I have said, somewhere, that due to this it may be an idea to think about whether it is suitable for people to bring kids. Adults = beer = can be daft !! This is in no way my decision but a reflection on what the club secretary has highlited ! I have to feet in this one for the band and the other as entertainment co-ordinator for the club !! .....Enjoy choking on that wont you

Just so everyone knows the January 24th gig at the fletton club is FREE entry for all. It is an open night platform the club uses to attract NEW members so there will be a heavy attendance regarding adults! Whilst the club has not said NO kids, my advise would be to think it through. After all it is the adults the club wish to have become members of the club! On that note it will cost £9 per year and beer is priced from £2.20 per pint on lager. £1.80 + on ales. See you there

Just so people know what the fleet event is all about here are some snippets of info . The event is for peterborugh scooter club = plvsc. Money from door entry fees and raffles on the night go to the local air ambulance appeal. You dont need to own a scooter to attend. it is £5 to get in. The beer prices average £2.30 a pint. It starts from 7pm till late. Massive sound from BIG pa and great suporting dj. Reserve entry call les 07751 294 898 see ya there

We have playedsome great gigs recently and saturday was also brill. It is a real buzz to play for people who are having a great time and it is always top of my mind that people enjoy the band.
